*Sun as set on the next day, Solar Flare and Apple Spritz stand in the courtyard facing each other - Crescendo, Nova, Twilight Sparkle, Applejack and Sunset Shimmer sit along the sides*

Crescendo: Mother, can't you force them to stop this? They could get hurt!

Twilight: I am sorry, Crescendo.. but they agreed on the duel, so the duel must be taken place.. The only way it can be stopped now is by one of them forfeiting...

Sunset: And knowing Solar, she's not going to back down... She's always been so headstrong. *frowns at her daughter*

AJ: And as much as I don't want to watch this... I know Spritz won't forfeit... the pride in the Apple family is too strong.

Crescendo: *grinds his teeth and forces himself to sit back down*

Nova: It'll be ok, Crescendo... I'm sure Apple Spritz can hold for herself.. *puts her hoof on his* Just send your thoughts to her... *looks at Spritz* She won't give up.. She loves you, Crescendo. She has something worth fighting for..

Crescendo: *stares silently out at them*

Solar: Hope you're ready to lose, Spritz.

Spritz: Don't be so confident! *sparks her horn*

Solar: You may go first. *smirks a bit*

Spritz: *takes a deep breath and sends a beam of magic towards Solar*

Solar: *waits for the last second than deflects Spritz's magic with a shield of her own, bouncing it away from her* You're weaker than I thought! *shoots a beam at Apple Spritz, hitting her in the horn - she squeels a bit* This is going to be quicker than I thought!

Spritz: *cringes at the burning in the tip of her horn* No.. no fair. *tries her best to spark another shot of magic, but is fizzes out*

Solar: Looks like I win... *gathers magic and sends one final beam of magic towards Spritz*

Crescendo: That's it! *gets up and races towards them*

Nova and Twilight: Crescendo, no!

Crescendo: *races past Apple Spritz and towards the oncoming magic beam*

Spritz: Crescendo, no!

Crescendo:*beam hits him in the chest, cracking through the royal garment and sending him falling backwards to the ground*

Solar: *snaps out of her anger and stares at Crescendo in shock* C-Crescendo..?! What did you- Why?...

Crescendo: *coughing from impact* Enough.. Solar.. Get out of here..

Solar: Crescendo.. I didn't mean for this-

Twilight: *rushing foreward with Nova beside her* Solar Flare, go! This has gone too far! Sunset Shimmer, take your daughter home now!

Sunset: Right away, Twilight.. *stares at Solar with pained eyes and takes her with her*

Solar: Honestly... I didn't want it to get this bad... I'm sorry. *follows her mother with her head down*

Spritz: *kneels beside Crescendo* Crescendo... what the buck were you thinking?

Crescendo: *whispering from pain in his chest* I couldn't let you lose.. I couldn't let you get hurt.. because of me.

Spritz: Crescendo... I'm so sorry about this..! *tearing up*

AJ: I'll go get the nurses.. *rushes off inside*

Nova: I think that was one of the most selfless things I've ever seen you do, brother... *smiles sadly*

Crescendo: Solar's magic is strong... but it was worth it if I get to keep Spritz in my life. *smiles up at her weakly*

Spritz: Crescendo... you're such an idiot. *smiles back with tears in her eyes*

Just my opinion but I feel really bad for Solar. 
She wasn't the one who decided to duel, Spritz was and yet she's the one getting flack for it. 
Just because Solar is seen as somewhat of a bully.. I still think it was wrong for others to dabble in their relationship no matter what it was like. Yeah she was toxic af. but Crescendo should have been free to make his own choices, not have someone make them for him. 

-Oh no.. I'm totally invested! You've managed to ensnare me in their story, so much so that I've actually formed opinions. Send help. -
