Mini Bio: Taffy is one of the rare situations in Ponyville with two mothers. Due to both Bon Bon and Lyra both being mares, neither of them could produce a baby. One day, Lyra saw Prince Crescendo walking down the street in a huff, and noticed: He was a mare! Lyra asked him (her) why and how he was turned into a mare, and he (she) just spat "Discord". So, of course, Lyra went to Discord and asked him to change her into a stallion so she and Bon Bon could have a baby. (And changed back to a female afterwards, of course - she felt uncomfortable as a stallion) 
Taffy knew att an early age that she was good with sweets. Every time Lyra had her back turned, Bon Bon would sneak her a piece of candy. 
Taffy was often hanging out in Sugar Cube Corner with Pinkie Pie and the Cake Twins, and was introduced to her destiny: macarons. 
Taffy makes the best macaron cakes in Equestria, that even Canterlot has asked her to move there just to make them.
