We did it..!

(Racing back to Ponyville, Nova flies beside Aura Shine, both carrying half of Crescendo's body - the other 4 running below.)

Aura: Do you think we'll make it in time?

Nova: We have to! I refuse to let my brother die!

Aura: But Nova.. look at him.. even if he does survive this - He's not going to be the same. He might not even be able to walk..

Nova: It's better than losing him.. We need to try. He gave everything to save us, we need to do everything we can to save him.

(Aura Shine nods and they fly faster as they get closer to Ponyville - Nova can see her mother and father on the balcony talking to a guard, Twilight sees them coming and her face turns into a mix of relief and horror.)

Twilight: Nova, is that - is he?!

Nova: Mom, there's no time, get him to the Emergancy Medical Ward, stat! 

Guard: Yes, Captain! *runs off to call ahead to the hospital* 

Flash: There's no time to wait, I'll take him. *pulls Crescendo onto his back* 

Twilight: Right behind you! Nova, Aura... I - I... Thank you. *tears in her eyes, opens her wings and follows after Flash and Crescendo* 

Nova: He's gonna be ok.. he's gonna be ok.

Aura: Let's hope you're right...

(Nova and Aura Shine meet back up with Clarity, Charity, Apple Spritz and Chimi - Clarity and Charity went to check on Celestine and Pureblood and Chimi didn't like hospitals, so she waited outside while Nova, Aura and Spritz went in) 

Nova: *runs up to the reception desk* Where did they take him?!

Receptionist: Oh, Princess! Go right on in, they ran him to the ER, room 3... I'm sorry, but you two will have to wait out here, family only right now. *pointing to Aura Shine and Apple Spritz* 

Nova: No, please, I need them.. and Spritz needs to see him. Please, they'll behave!

Receptionist: Well.. I'm usually not allowed to break the rules, but you ARE the Princess... but only one of them can go with you.

Nova: *looks at them* 

Aura: *sighs* Apple Spritz, you go. 

Spritz: Are you sure Aura?

Aura: Of course.. We all know how you feel about Crescendo.. This is more important to you. I'll just wait outside and keep Chimi company.
But make sure if anything happens, you tell us!

Nova: We will, come on Spritz!

(Nova and Spritz reach the room and look through the door window - They can see the doctors patching him up and putting him on an IV and monitor - Flash trying to console Twilight and keep her calm - Nova and Spritz enter)

Nova: How's he doing?

Twilight: He's fighting.. *holding back tears* 

Flash: Crescendo has always been a fighter.. he'll pull through. 

Doctor #1: He's damaged badly, what exactly happened to him? *turning to Nova and her parents* 

(Seeing as Flash and Twilight were not there, Nova stepped foreward) 

Nova: We were trying to extract the Tenebris from him.. Me and Spritz, and the other Elements of Friendship.. We snuck off, and the Tenebris led us to him.. Princess Luna followed us.. We almost lost, but then Luna broke through and started fighting him. At the last second, Crescendo's soul took his body back, long enough to crash to the ground.. I'm guessing he figured if his body was broken, the Tenebris would no longer have use for him.. *tears begin pouring again* He sacrificed himself to save Equestria from the Tenebris.. He's a hero!

Twilight: Shh, Nova sweety, I know. *pulls her daughter close and comforts her* Calm down..

Doctor #2: So this was from impact from a fall.. Must've been from a high vantage point. So Princess Luna was there?

Nova: *sniffles* Ahuh.. She went to hide the book she sealed the Tenebris in.. She should be back soon..

Doctor #2: Alright, we'll gather more information from her.. for now, he seems to be stabilized at the moment. Your Highness, may I speak to you outside please? *turning to Twilight* 

Twilight: Y-Yes, of course. *leaves with the doctors* 

Nova: *calms her tears and takes a deep breath* 

Spritz: *staring at Crescendo* He needs to get through this.. I can't imagine going through life the same way if he doesn't..

Flash: We just need to have hope.. It didn't fail us when you were in the ICU, Nova. *Flash kisses his daughter's head and follows after Twilight*

(Later that day, visiting hours finally opened, and the other four came to visit Crescendo - Flash and Twilight had been coming in back and forth, along with Didi, Spike and various other friends and families - but the six remained in that room beside Crescendo until nightfall)

Aura: Look at those bruises.. that one on his neck is really bad.

Nova: The doctors said he snapped his neck..  it was a miracle in itself that that didn't kill him right then and there.. but there is still a possibility of paralysis... 

Chimi: ... If he gets through this, I'm gonna have mom and dad throw the biggest party for him.. You hear that, Cressy? You need to wake up and get better, you have a party to go to!

Charity: I don't think it works that way, Chimi.. but it's a sweet thought.

Clarity: Indeed... I hate seeing him like this.

Aura: Has he woken up at all yet?

Nova: Not yet, but his eyes fluttered a few -

(Nova's words are suddenly interrupted by Crescendo's heart monitor beeping loudly)

Spritz: What's going on?!

Clarity: I - I think his heart is failing! *shrieks* 

Nova: *staring at her brother in horror trying to think*

Charity:  I'll get the doctors!

Nova: Wait!

Aura: Nova, are you insane?! We don't have time -

Nova: I want to try something... We're the Elements of Friendship, right? Well just like our parents before us, we are destined to help protect others and help them in their time of need. Holding the Tenebris can't be the only use of these pendants!

Spritz: What are you -

Nova: We are Crescendo's friends... and he needs us. I want to try and use the Elements and help him.

Clarity: But Nova, if this doesn't work, we've wasted valuable time to try and save him!

Nova: I know, but I need to try this! We need to! Together! For Crescendo!

Spritz: ... I'm in!

Aura: Alright, let's do this!

Chimi: I really hope this works..

Charity: Alright..

Clarity: Let's hurry!

(The six circle around his bed, close their eyes and focus on their magic - the Elements begin to glow and shoot towards Crescendo - Nova listens to the heart monitor race, faster and faster until suddenly, it flat lines)

Chimi:  It's not working! He's flatlining!

Nova: Have faith, keep it together! I know we can do this!

(Despite the flat line on the heart monitor, the six hold their focus, and finally, the monitor begins to beep again, fast, and then slower... then finally, began beating normal again - Crescendo begins breathing again)

Nova: Oh my... we did it?! We saved him! 

Crescendo: *eyes slowly begin to flutter open* 

Chimi: Oh my gosh! He's opening his eyes!

Nova: Crescendo?! Can you -

Crescendo: ... Mom's gonna be so mad at you... for sneaking out... *speaking in a short, breathy voice* 

Nova: *tears well up* Oh Crescendo... you're back! We did it..!

After admitting Crescendo into the ICU, the six go to visit him.

Noticing his heart was failing, Nova wanted to try using the Elements to heal him.. unsure it would work, the six agreed to try anyways.
To their surprise and happiness, it did work, and Crescendo even wakes up.

Nova had a feeling their Elements weren't just for stopping evil, but for helping friends in their time of need.
(Didn't even realize it until now, but Nova totally lives up to being the element of bravery right here - risking her brother dying to use the elements on him instead of getting the doctors lol)

Crescendo lives, and almost just as important, Nova is no longer the only hero out of the two.
